Wang Tao is a fictional character in Luo Guanzhong's historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. He served as an official in the state of Cao Wei, and was a Registrar (主簿) under Sima Zhao. Wang met the Shu Han general Jiang Wei during the Battle of Mount Tielong. When water became scarce, Wang suggested praying for a water spring, in accordance with late Han Dynasty tradition.
